Hey,
I hope you’ve been okay. I’ve missed writing to you and I’m glad to be back doing it.
I’ll start sharing some of the content I find most useful about living an expressive life on social media. Would appreciate you following MIMH on Instagram & Tiktok (@musingsinmyhead) and interacting with the content.
Let’s explore a fundamental principle of our world.
If I asked you to write 5 paragraphs on any topic such as “How society works”. I’ll give you 7 days to write these paragraphs.
If you spend 90% of the time thinking about what you’ll write, a majority of the actual words (over 80%) you write will not be things you thought of before putting pen to paper.
Something similar happens with conversations. When you have a conversation, you say things that if you reflect afterwards, you’ll find that a lot of the opinions/insights were things you weren’t previously aware of.
This principle is more evident in writing than in conversations which is why writing is almost like a spiritual experience. In both cases, however, what we’re doing is tapping into the information and insights stored in our subconscious that our conscious state can’t typically get access to.
(Spent some time recently in Estonia with some good friends of mine. Viewing the world from different perspectives teaches a lot.)
This is why they say writing and good conversations enrich the mind.
There’s something else in our experience of life that falls into the same category: Action.
If you want to start a business, a new enterprise, a relationship or do pretty much anything, thinking can only get you started. When you take action, a new set of possibilities/challenges arise that you have to navigate.
And we’re sadly not living in a sci-fi movie where you can see all the future possibilities before taking an action.
So in that sense, action is the creative energy of the universe.
(It was -4 degrees so no need for a fridge to chill drinks)
Similar to how our subconscious holds a majority of the hidden possibilities of the human mind that we unlock during conversations and writing, the universe and its randomness houses over 80% of possibilities that we can’t access till we act.
This is why any human regardless of their background or current circumstances can create the life they want.
We’ll typically have three options: Think, Complain or Act. Would you rather live a life where you can only tap into 20% of possibilities or 100%?

Love always,
Francis.
This is a great read, thanks Frank for pushing me to start doing more of writing and lazer focusing d on actions.
